Shipping policy
At Jake's Cakes and Bakes, we bake everything fresh to order and take great care to ensure your gluten-free treats arrive in perfect condition. Here’s everything you need to know about how we handle shipping:
📦 Where We Ship
We currently ship across the UK only, including England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
🚚 Dispatch Times
Unless otherwise stated, all orders placed between 7pm on Thursdays and 9.59am on Sundays will be dispatched on the following Tuesday.
All orders placed between 10am on Sundays and 11.59pm on Tuesdays will be dispatched on the following Thursday.
e.g. if you order on Tuesday 24th your order will be dispatched on Thursday 26th.
You’ll receive a confirmation email once your order is on its way.
📬 Delivery Options

Royal Mail Tracked 24 – Aims to deliver next working day after dispatch, however this is an aim and not a guarantee. There can occasionally be delays with Royal Mail - once your order has been dispatched, Jake's Cakes and Bakes cannot accept any responsibility for delays in delivery.
You will receive tracking information via email once your order has been dispatched.
☀️ Warm Weather Advisory
During warmer months, please note that we have no control over the weather or postal conditions once your parcel leaves our hands. While we package all orders securely, some items may soften slightly in transit.
To help your treats settle back to their best, we strongly recommend placing your order in the fridge for at least 1 hour upon delivery, especially if it's a warm day.
We are unable to offer refunds or replacements for items affected by heat once dispatched.
📅 Special Dates & Pre-orders
For holiday boxes or limited-time treat drops (e.g. Father’s Day, Christmas), dispatch dates will be clearly stated in the product description. Please ensure you check these before placing your order.
📦 Packaging
We use food-safe packaging to keep your bakes fresh and protected during transit. All orders are securely wrapped and clearly labelled.
❗ Missed / Delayed Deliveries
Once your order has been dispatched, delivery is in the hands of Royal Mail. If your parcel hasn’t arrived within 5 working days of dispatch, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to help.
Please ensure your delivery address is correct at checkout—we can’t be held responsible for parcels delayed or lost due to incorrect information.
